POP QUIZ:

You have 10,613 chips at the beginning of an Ignition tournament. The blinds are 40/80. You have Kh-Jc on the button. The Hijack raises to 240.

You’ve seen this player limp a few times in later position. One of the times they limped they turned over QJo.

What's your move here?

Do you want to fold?

Call?

Raise?

Take your time...

If you said raise or call, there's a great chance you just lit money on fire in a passive tournament.

If your opponent is limping QJo then logically their raising range must contain stronger hands.

That is not good news for your K-J. That means your opponent is raising something akin to 9% of the hands! Would you threebet a 24/9 there, if you were allowed to use a HUD?

You have less than 35% equity versus that 9% raising range.

Cold calling or, worse, reraising there could see you losing your ass off. You'll be putting the money in while you're way behind. If you hit the board, it's likely your opponent hit a better hand!

This is just one example of how passive tournaments play completely differently than more aggressive tournaments. On America's Cardroom, that K-Jo is almost always a threebet, because on that site opponents RAISE when they want to see the flop, regardless of whether they have Q-Jo or 6-4s. Building a big pot versus those weak ranges in position is a recipe for profit.

In passive tournaments, the rules COMPLETELY change.

Have you ever said to yourself, "I HATE this site! NO ONE EVER FOLDS! I can't beat these donkeys!"

Think about this. If these players are THAT bad, there HAS to be a way to beat them right?

You're correct. There is. There is a recipe.

Carlos Welch and I have been working on this new series for months:

How To OBLITERATE Passive Tournaments!

Normally, this package is going to be $299. But for a limited time only you can get it for $99!

In this series, you will get a ten-episode 5+ hour master class on how to obliterate passive tournaments, presented by myself, Alexander Fitzgerald.

Carlos and I have spent years playing in passive games on weak sites. We know the way to get around players who don't fold. There is a science to playing with these kinds of players. We know the formula. We have used it to make a considerable profit for ourselves. Now, for the first time ever, we will be sharing it with you.

In this series, you will learn:

  • How do you actually BLUFF players who seemingly never fold? There is a way to get them to put their cards into the muck!
  • How do you exploit these players on the bubble to make sure you cash more tournaments than anyone else? It's a completely different system than when you are playing on aggressive sites!
  • How do you manipulate multiway pots so that these kinds of players who NEVER fold can't take advantage of you?
  • When do passive players NEVER bluff and when should you fold to them?
  • How can you make sure you get to the river with ALL of your draws?
  • How do you avoid preflop COOLERS while simultaneously getting value from AWFUL players?
  • What do you DO when people are always limping in and NEVER folding?! How do you take advantage of these players?!
  • How do you get reads when there are no HUDs allowed on a particular site?
  • How should you respond when these passive players threebet you? What hands should you call them with? What stacks do you need to do that?
  • What hands should you play from the big blind in the multiway pots that come up all the time? 90% of players get this question wrong!
  • How should you play the small blind in passive games? It's completely different than when you're on aggressive sites!
  • How should your postflop bet sizing strategy change versus passive opponents? It's an entirely different game versus these gamblers!
  • When should you call preflop versus these players? You can actually get away with a few more loose calls versus these opponents than you can get away with in aggressive games.
  • How should you play draws versus players who NEVER want to fold? Should you semi-bluff knowing they want to call? Do you check and show weakness? What do you do?! (The answer to this has increased my win rate substantially on Ignition).
  • How do you play backdoor draws when implieds odds are INSANE?!
  • What should you lead from the blinds in limped pots? This situation comes up CONSTANTLY in passive games and almost NO ONE knows how to handle it!
  • What GTO threebet should you NEVER do in passive games?
  • At what stack size and stage of the tournament are you finally able to start bluffing these clowns? How do you set it up?
  • What boards PERFECTLY set you up for a big bluff versus a weak opponent?
  • When should you open with damn near any two cards because the weak players will have given up?
  • Why is the bubble the MOST IMPORTANT PART of these passive tournaments, and why does absolutely no one play it correctly?
  • When should you raise versus shortstacks as opposed to just jamming? THIS IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than when you're dealing with aggressive players because they play the shortstack so differently!
  • How should you change your jamming ranges versus passive players?
  • How should you be playing different stack sizes through each stage of the tournament?
  • What stack sizes should you be targeting at each stage of the tournament?
  • MUCH MUCH MORE!

Plus, the ACTION quizzes make a return, and wow are they hard in this training pack!

You will learn, through actual PRACTICE a COMPLETELY different way to play poker versus bad players.

The flight simulator for bubble play is especially bonkers! If you can get half the questions right I will be impressed.
